Invited to Washington, DC in March of 1990
to meet with members of Congressman Ron Wyden’s Congressional Subcommittee
on Regulation, Business Operations and Energy investigating the unregulated diet
industry. Provided input regarding practices and standards. This information was used in the Congressional hearings held in May and September of 1990. This investigation was the start of regulating the weight loss industry in the United States.
